Great news, I have some new videos on the way from Flying Knee productions in Galway. On a few tracks I’ve been playing an absolute beauty of a guitar I’m endorsing made by Donal Ó Ráinne. His instruments are available through Kieron Molloney in Galway and are truly fantastic in construction, sound and set up. I’m delighted to be endorsed playing Ó Ráinne Yew body 13 fret.
Also I’ve recently been awarded the Travel and Training Award through the Arts Council and Culture Ireland to head to Womex a world music convention at the end of October in Cardiff. I’ll be part of the Irish delegation. Hopefully it’ll lead to good things, more playing, collaborating, touring and making some great music. I’ll post more about that soon.

Hi Tom,
I have just enjoyed the videos on your site and was particularly interested in ‘Memories of a Friend’ as I think you’re playing it on a guitar made by Donal Ó Ráinne. I am considering buying one of Donal’s guitars to complement my Lowden F-32C (which I regard as spectacular). Are you able to compare the Ó Ráinne sound with that of the guitars by George Lowden? I realise that this has to be subjective, but as a Brit living in Belgium, I don’t have opportunity to try the guitar for myself and video clips of Donal’s guitars are rarer than hen’s teeth. Good luck with you music.
Regards,
Reg Green
